Dear Friends of the Capital City Men's Chorus,

The Capital City Men's Chorus is a growing organization. Over the past few years our annual budget has grown steadily, and with it, our ability to deliver on our mission statements of providing the highest quality and showmanship in our performances, representing the gay community to the community at large, and being a support to the fundraising efforts of non-profit organizations in the Austin area, such as the Austin Babtist Women, Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival, Project Transitions, the Gay Straight Education Network and Aids Services of Austin. In addition to our concerts, we are hosting social events, singing for worthy organizations, presenting our annual Sweetheart Cabaret and representing Austin at the 2008 GALA International Choral Festival in Miami, Florida. Our singing, rehearsing and fund-raising keep us very busy.

For the first time in many years we are inviting direct donations in an old fashioned appeal. Our ticket sales cover only about 25% of our operating expenses. So we rely on fundraising events, a City of Austin Cultural Contract, program advertisements and individual donors to make up the remainder. We promise that we will never ask for more than we need, and that we will spend what we get responsibly.
